SOULJA BOY
I came across this on you tube and i thought it was funny. It also kind of ties in with my 2nd ident project. I couldn't quite identify why thought it was funny until i realised it was probably the crossing of cultures. I thought about that aspect and questioned why, as it seems that we are all victim to stereotyping in some form.... I questioned myself,
'whats so funny about chinese men dancing to hip hop music?'
Would it be just as funny if it were black men?.....

Unhappy AV
Similarly to the av for my 'Happy World' i went about looking for imagery which reflectled the grim reality of the 'Real World' the world in which we live. I decided to use some of the imagery which i had already found, Golliwogs, and slavery being the main imagery. I decided that i did not want to dress it up in any way or make less intimidating, as it is what it is.

In my 3D Max avatar environment i wanted to include av, as i think that this is the pathway i shall be choosing. As my environment is based on the escapism from reality when dreaming, i wanted to incorporate one av peice that reflects reality and one that represents things i consume or indulge in when trying to escape from reality, i.e. Cookie dough ice cream, Nike trainers, Hip Hop music- especially the Wu Tang Clan etc. So i went about looking for some imagery which could be included in the 'Escapism world' av ....
